Batiste Pink Pineapple Dry Shampoo
I picked this up from Superdrug when I was ordering my dry shampoo from their site, I honestly did not get on with this product at all. It irritated my scalp which all the other scents do not, it also gave me an awful headache because the smell is so intense. As you know from my previous posts, I swear by the Rose Gold edition of this and even my mum has been converted to this. It smells divine and does not get in your head! It’s a shame because I wish I could love this one, but I have to stick to my go-to.
NYX Brow Mascara
I picked this up to replace my Gimme Brow probably about a year ago now, and it’s taken me forever to use this. Personally, did not love it! I know it says ‘brow mascara’ but I was not expecting a MASCARA WAND. However, I was not disheartened, I actually bought the NYX Control Freak brow gel which has a similar brush. This colour for me was far too dark for me, despite me having dark brown hair I could have used for a shade or two lighter… but live and learn. Perfect if you love an intense brow.
Benefit Bo-ing Concealer (Old Edition)
All honesty, I loved this concealer back in the day and then one day I discovered liquid concealer was converted and this poor baby laid in the bottom of my makeup bag forever more. I did fish this out when cleaner my bag into my storage and truthfully did try and salvage what was left of this, but it honesty was so gross and old that I’d rather not have an explosive breakout on my face. If you prefer a cream concealer or are quite versatile with your concealer (unlike me) then I reckon you’ll love this and since I bought this one (in like 2015… the SHAME!) they have released different versions of this product.
YESto Cucumbers Hypoallergenic Facial Wipes
OK, I would love to pretend that I purchased these for some legitimate reason. Truthfully, I wanted to get over the £15 delivery mark on BeautyBay… I am not even ashamed to admit that either. But, they were really damn good. I have always used the Boots Essentials Cucumber wipes and SWORN by them as the only face wipes to bless my face (until I discovered Micellar Water) but this is definitely on par with those. Though they’re more expensive, they smell divine and they remove my eye makeup really well without irritating my skin. In fact, I even purchased these again (admittedly to get over the £15 mark (THEY ARE WORTH THE £2 FOR A TRAVEL PACK OF TEN) I even purchased the charcoal ones to try to.,
NIP + FAB Glycolic Fix Night Pads Extreme
I am not going to beat around the bush with this, these are da BOMB. I honestly recommend these to anyone who has oily or congested skin, the product is so good as exfoliating your face as well as cleaning out those pores for you. I used these when I came back from Portugal last year to remove the sunburn from my the top of my face and nose, they are great and honestly do what they say on the tin. Please do not be discouraged by the price tag because honestly, 10/10 would recommend these and if you want a less intense one for every day, their daily ones are just as good. I am on my last pot of these and I will be definitely purchasing again!
The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA
I purchased this at the beginning of the year to trial as I have heard that their range (especially this) is really good. I have used the Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% for about a year and found it to be really good for keeping my skin looking clear. I personally didn’t like this moisturizer. It made my skin oily, it made my foundation oxidise so badly that I walked around work looking like an Oompa loompa… shameful. I personally think it’s an additional factor which my combination skin didn’t mix well with. Safe to say, I will not be purchasing again.
Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer
I got this as a sample AGES ago and never really properly used it because I had other primers that I loved. I have been using it continuously for the last few weeks, perhaps even months and I liked it. It softened my skin and made my pores look less enormous (didn’t even think that was possible) which is always a delight. I will be honest, it’s not going to be my holy grail primer and I will be on the search for something new, perhaps even go back to my trust Benefit Porefessional (that I highly recommend) but we will see, I am sure you’ll be seeing a few more primer reviews over the next few months.
Let me know if you have tried any of the above products or whether you have had any luck with them.
Until Next Time…
Love, DD x
FYI, I am having a MARE uploading pictures from my camera. I promise I’m not going bland on my blog, they will be back soon!!!
