Welcome back to my page!
I’ve been meaning to share my skincare favourites with you for quite a while now, a few months ago I change my skincare routine as I was struggling with blemishes and they were really getting me down, the cold weather doesn’t help them either.
I was thinking of doing this every couple of months because it takes me a while to get through skin care products. Let me know in the comment whether you would like me to do this again.
So let’s dive in!
The first thing I do is cleanse my face, I normally use one of two products Cetaphil Oily Skin Cleanser or Bioré Pore Charcoal Cleanser, both products are great products. It depends on how bad my skin is, if I’m suffering from more blemishes than normal my go-to is my Bioré whereas if my skin is ok I will use Cetaphil.
I follow this with toning my face, I am currently only using one product because it’s refreshing on my skin which is Botanics Organic Rosewater Toning Spritz. I love this product as it comes in a bottle which you just spritz a couple of pumps on your face and let it set in your skin, it makes my face feel soft and hydrates. Not only that it smells lovely!
I follow this up with my eye cream. I suffer from quite dry eyes which is why I have to use eye cream and my go-to currently is Mario Badescu Hyaluronic Eye Cream. At the time I was purchasing the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion and after watching a few videos about using eye cream helps your eye make up look better, I wanted to invest. I find this product helps my dry eyes and also keeps my eyes looking less tired and more hydrated.
I then finish with moisturising, I have two products that I flick between. Dependent on how much of a moisture surge my skin needs, Clinique Hydro-Blur Moisturiser or the Botanics Organic Facial Oil 100% Organic. Both products I love, the Clinique is lovely and makes my skin so soft. It feels like a primer on your skin which is lovely and I sometimes use a primer on my no-makeup, makeup days. Botanic is when my skin is very dry and it gives my face a dewy look, I don’t dig this look but it’s something depends on what I’m going for nice and refreshing. I normally put this on when I am hungover or ill which makes my face feel soft and silky.
Aside from doing the above, I do exfoliate twice a week and my usual partner is Lush Dark Angels face scrub, this contains charcoal which is great for making my skin feeling refreshed. This is one of my favourite face scrubs as it clears the dead skin from on my nose and around my eyebrows which makes my makeup apply so much better. My other alternative is the Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Extreme Night Pads, these are great for a quick method of exfoliating, I have been using these for almost a year and they’re incredible. They remove my dead skin and leave my skin feeling and looking great!
I also do a face mask once a week and I flick between three face masks, Manuka Doctor API Purifying Facial Peel which is divine, it leaves my face feeling soft and within a couple of days, it’s back to its clear self. My other go to is either the L’Oreal Paris Pure Clay Detox Mask or Blemish Rescue, both a lovely and gives my face that tingling clean feeling. Both of these masks usually bring any blemishes to the skin and clears the skin within a week or so.
