Welcome back to my page, this is one of my Christmas presents from my bestie (Thank you Els) and I’ve been putting this post off for a while as I’ve been back at work and haven’t had enough time to sit down and write it, but hooray! I made and I finished writing it.
As we all know this palette is ‘limited edition’ but I believe this is here to stay, it’s super affordable and a major sell out that they’re having to keep restocking. Safe to say congratulations Jaclyn because this is here for the long haul! Rumour has it that Jaclyn has been working on this for over two years as she wanted us to love it, safe to say none of us are disappointed.
Prior to its release in the US, the only information I had heard was through theejbedit who would not stop talking about this prior to its release.. not judging Els. When we went for our night out in Norwich she bought it along and I was hooked, the palette itself is beautiful and that’s enough to have you hooked from the outset.
Let me talk about the variety before I dive into my review, this palette alone costs £37.00 and holds 35 pans, 35! That’s insane considering the price and the quality of the product itself, I own several palettes which in their own right they’re amazing but the pans are tiny and they retail usually for £40+.
I tried this palette a couple of times already and I’m so impressed with how pigmented the shades are and they also have minimal fall-out compared to some of my other morphe products. The metallic shades are stunning and the mattes are very buttery, which for me makes them easier to apply.
For me, I don’t love the packaging. Firstly because WHY IS THERE NO MIRROR? This could have made this palette a 10/10 because then it would have been good for travelling. It’s already got the variety in the bag, a mirror would have been nice. My only other con with this product would have to be the packaging. It looks minimal and simple, it’s just cardboard which can easily get damaged whilst travelling. Though this isn’t a HUGE con, it’s a bit of a downer for me.
Now, let’s dive into my Pro’s and Con’s list…
- Super creamy texture
- Super pigmented colour
- Great value for money
- A lot of variety
- Minimal Fallout
- Cheaply packaged
- Really should include a mirror (this honestly has hit me hard)
From my Pros and Cons, you can see that it’s a no-brainer when it comes to purchasing this, the official UK stock for this item is under Morphe UK and Beauty Bay so take a look!
Has this made it to my top favourites for this year so far? Definitely, there is not one thing not to love about this palette. I wasn’t a Jaclyn fan prior, but I definitely am now.
Please leave a comment below as I would love to hear about your experience with the Jaclyn Hill X Morphe palette.
Ta Ta for now!
